Is Subutex something that you can get hooked on & then have to take OTHER drugs to get off of? How?

The active ingredient in subutex is buprenorphine. Buprenorphine is an opiate so yes it can be abused and yes it can be addictive.
It's very important to use subutex properly so that addiction doesn't become a factor. The only time it's a problem is when it's not used the right way.
Subutex should be used for opiate detox and if used short term (6-8 weeks) for that purpose only it will not create an addiction problem. Using small doses for a short term is the key. Here is a link that explains how I suggest using subutex.
Note the INDUCTION section of the link as well as the tapering instructions. This is how you keep the dose to a minimum and eliminate the potential for addiction. Hope it helps.

Not only is it an opiate but it screws with your brain. It does help with withdrawals from opiates but in the same breath it will have you addicted mind, body and soul. It is all but impossible to quit especially if you are dealing with any pain issues and not just a thrill seeker abusing the opiates in the first place. Only difference is you feel like a legal beagal because a DOCTOR is getting paid to prescrible and a pharmacy is getting paid to sell not a DEALER, this stuff is BAD news!
