No. The FDA has not approved Pristiq for a Panic Disorder. It is however FDA approved for Depression which can be the cause of someones Panic Disorder. Your doctor is using it off label or believes that you have depression and wants to treat it to see if it will help with your Anxiety Disorder. Give it some time. It might just work. If it ends up not working I would recommend a Benzodiazepine such as Xanax .25mg as needed for your Panic Disorder. I hope this helps you out. Happy New Years!

Has anyone experienced feeling tranquilized/ completely exhausted when first starting Pristiq, and did it eventually go away?
