Is not getting your period on a new pill normal?

Sometimes it takes a pack or two before your hormones settle. Some women experience very light bleeding or just spotting while on the Pill. Usually you should have some bleeding but as long as you have taken a pill every day and waited the time period to become protected before having unprotected sex you should be okay. If you miss a second period you should be evaluated to be sure you are not pregnant. If you missed any pills or did not wait adequate time to become protected and had unprotected sex or if you were on antibiotics without using a backup method then there is a possibility you are pregnant and should be tested.
