Both Nexium (Esomeprazole) and Zantac (Ranitiidine) have been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA.
Animal studies have failed to reveal evidence of fetal harm.

Nexium and Zantac should only be used during pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks.
There is no clear advantage of either drug.
Talk with your doctor.
