Is it true that glimepiride causes recurrent upper respiratory infection?

I realize this answer is very, very late ... but may be useful to someone in future.

Glimepiride does not appear to cause frequent upper respiratory tract infections. Diabetics are however, more susceptible to infections. Hopefully once the blood sugars are under control it should improve.
