Is it safe to go to a 1 mg from a 2 mg to raise heart rate, have been on it for ten years?

I am new to the whole heart disease thing so to be honest i'm not sure. I recently did my stress test and the doctor said they needed to do an operation by entering through a vein in my leg and go up to my heart. This was the 14th of september and I haven't heard back from them to set this thing up. I'm sorry I couldn't help
