My age is 34 and i had LDL 192 and HDL 40 in my initial test. So doctor asked to me take 40 mg simvastatin daily. Also changed my lifestyle (like no saturated food, lots of fibre, fruits, vegetables and exercise daily) My weight is 160 pound. I have been taking this medicine for around 4-5 months. Now the result are within the limits. Wondering if i can stop my medicine and following the good lifestyle habbits and check the cholesterol levels after 2-3 months? Your suggestion would be of help to me. I don't want to be on medicine forever and i can follow strict habbit.
Is it possible to stop simvastatin 40 mg & monitor chol level as I chnged lifestyle considerably ?
