Snooks,
It is VERY possible that your focalin is causiing joint pain. One of its know side-effects is arthalgia or joint pain. Also, I was curious as to why you're doctor tried you on focalin, which is for ADHD if you have ADD. Just curious. Hope this helps.

after my husband passed away, i moved and had to get with a new dr. I was grieving, and couldn't sleep, so a dr. gave me two meds in addition to the zoloft i had been on for years for bi polar, and aldo added focalin. when I returned complaining that I couldn't get out of bed, and was sleeping 20 hours out of 24, she took me off of two of the meds (I can't remember the names of those two), but kept me on zoloft and focalin. I lost 55 lbs because I had nausea from morning to about 4 p.m. I kept saying it was the focalin, so they gave me something for nausea. However when they introduced the focalin I had servere attacks of arthritis. which I never had before. even had to go to er on several occasions for servere pain in shoulder on two different occasions, and knee pain, hip pain, ankle pain, couldn't get out of bed for two days, with pain all over in different joints. they just put me on metholtrexate for arthritis along with steroids. after a year of this pain not subsiding even with arthritis meds, i stopped taking the zoloft and the focalin. (I didn't stop them abruptly, I eased off of them, and my pain is gone. Only have some stiffness and soreness in fingers, and toes upon arising in the morning. Nothing I can't live with. I can't get back to see my dr, until sept as I am out of state, but can't wait to tell her about my pain dissapearing after dropping the zoloft and focalin. I think the focalin was the culpret. I think I was misdiagnosed years ago as having bi polar depression, but never disputed it until now.
