Is it ok to take an acid reducer like Tagamet with a Medrol pack? The steroid is givig me heartburn?

There are no listed interactions between these two medications but that doesnt mean interactions do not exist. Call your pharmacist and ask him/her. They are an excellent resource for these types of questions.

I'm sure it is ok, but do ask your pharmatist as Dzoobaby suggested. Also taking in some food with the meds will help even if it's a few crackers, & don't lie down for 2 hours after taking it. Hope this helps.( It will give you the munchies anyway!)

ProBiotics work just fine for me.
I was on various acid blockers
(proton pump inhibitors) for the
last 20 years, but I have recently
quit them and started taking a
couple probiotic capsules per
day.
The acid reducers are bad for
your bones, and inter-react with
several other meds.
The ProBiotics balance out various
digestive bacteria in your stomach
which have been eradicated by
the other remedies.

Probiotics are inexpensive.
I get mine at Costco.
