Is it normal to have a prolonged menstrual cycle while on the depo provera shot?

Details:

I recieved my first shot on nov 7 off of my cycle. When I did start my cycle on nov 23 I have not stopped.and it is now dec 3. I do not usually have irregular cycles.

Some people have no periods while on Depo-provera while others have irregular, regular, heavy or light periods. All are normal - talk with your doctor if you are concerned.
