I bought a bottle of (internol) medicine in mexico, and the pharmacists said it was the same medication as (atenolol). I take atenolol for high blood pressure. I want to make sure that atenolol and internol are the

Hi manita, I have looked in all my medicine books and on line and can not find a medication called "Internol". I would be very careful if I was you about taking this medication instead of the Atenolol. The Atenolol is a beta blocker and helps your heart do it's job. Something could go very wrong if you stop taking the Atenolol and take the Internol. Maybe you should take it into your pharmacist and let him look at it. There is a reason that all medicines that are available in Mexico aren't available here in the US. Please be careful... Good Luck

Did find on the net Internol made by IPCA Laboratories Limited Conditioning and distributed in Mexico by: VICTORY ENTERPRISES, Reg CV Núm. 035M2003, SSA IV BEAR-203679/R2003 No. 035M2003, SSA IV BEAR-203679/R2003 is Atenolol, however check it with a pharmacist, take care.
