what is inderal -generic [propranolol] 10mg used for. Has it ever been used to treat ADH or ADD. what is the most common use that doctors precribe inderal for

Inderal is part of a class of drugs called beta-adrenergic blocking agents, or
beta blockers for short. As the name implies, beta blockers block beta receptors in the body. Beta receptors are located in a number of places within the body, including the heart and blood vessels. These receptors are what stress hormones (such as adrenaline) attach to and cause certain reactions in the body, such as an increase in:
Heart rate; the force with which the heart pumps blood; blood pressure (both systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure).
By blocking beta receptors, Inderal causes the reverse effect of stress hormones. It decreases heart rate and both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as the workload of the heart. This means that the heart requires less blood and oxygen to work properly.
For people with migraines or an essential tremor, it is not known exactly how Inderal works. However, there are beta receptors in the brain that may be involved.

Hello, hookr, love the name. ANyway, Inderol is not used for add/adhd. Clonidine has been given for add/adhd although the jury is still out on its efficacy.
This medication is a beta blocker used to treat high blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, shaking (tremors), and other conditions. It is used after a heart attack to improve the chance of survival. It is also used to prevent migraine headaches and chest pain (angina). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Preventing chest pain can help improve your ability to exercise.
This drug works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body (such as epinephrine) that affect the heart and blood vessels. This effect reduces heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.
