- hydrocodone, alcohol, abuse
So... a friend found some in her husbands pocket doing laundry, he has a history of drug & alcohol abuse. She doesn't know about Hydrocodone and is overwhelmed by information on Google.
Why do people take this? Does it get you high? Is it dangerous? Any insight would be appreciated - she doesn't know anything about prescription drug abuse...

Yes it is addictive, and yes it can get a person high if it is taken when not needed or abused, especially if snorted or injected. Still gets people high if one takes too much as well. Many people with chronic pain take this medication though. Is this man in chronic pain?

Karmakit Sweetlemon is exactly on target if you take it and you don't need it then you have a problem and the euphoric feeling and all of the other dangerous things start to happen I have a relative who has a medicine cabinet in her bathroom and she has suspicions but someone came to visit and one day a few days later she opened the cabinet up and some random nearly empty bottle of Darvocet was gone, so happened she was about to destroy the 2 remaining tablets, We live in a day and age till people do things like this. Hi. yes hydros are very addictive and very dangerous if taken with or with out a doc script. I lost a friend to the combination of alcohol and hydros. Some of the stronger hydros are very intoxicating in low dose and can produce a high like euphoria. even the low doses are lethal if too many are taken. Alcohol only elevates the problem. just trying to help. I ll pray for them.
