Is ferumoxytol only approved for patients with CKD? If so, why is that?

Ferumoxytol is used to treat iron deficiency anemia in people with chronic kidney disease.
Ferumoxyol can be given alot quicker than other iron injections and is more effective than oral supplements. I was unable to find answers to your other questions.
