I had early stage breast cancer and just finished 5 years of Tamoxifen. I had a complete hysterectomy in June 2009. Would it be beneficial to take Femara now that I finished Tamoxifen?
Is Femara effective for individuals that have been taking Tamoxifen for five years?

Yes. Femara is often given to women,like you, who have been tamoxifen for 5 years.
Femara lowers estrogen levels which may slow the growth of breast tumors that need estrogen to grow in the body.
