Is Clonidine of the same "family" or type as felodipine?

Felodipine is a calcium channel blocker and clonidine is not. They are not interchangeable medications although both are blood pressure medications. Clonidine is also used in helping with opiate and alcohol addiction treatment. Hope that helps.
