I take Plavix and i noticed in the ingredients that it contains clopidogrel bisulfate. I am allergic to sulfur products.
Is bisulfate a form of sulfur?

There is much confusion about what constitutes a "sulfur allergy".
Do you know if you have a sulfonamide, sulfite, or sulfate allergy?
Bisulfate is a type of sulfate and a form of sulfur - sulfate allergies are extremely rare... and sulfates are very common.
Do you know the name of the drug that first caused the allergy?

it was Dovon (if spelling is correct, med for cholesterol) it contained sulfur and after discontinue of use the rash and itch went away. I have been alergic to sulfur since childhood.
