Just so you know, if you experience Postherpetic Neuralgia after having shingles you may want to check out a new FDA drug that just came out. Qutenza (capsaicin) Transdermal Patch which you put on at a doctors office for one hour. It will give you approx. 12 weeks of relief. It just came out in November and is made specifically for posttherpetic neuralgia after having shingles. Hope this can help even though it's not the answer you were looking for. Happy Holidays!
