My daughter is 19yrs old and works in a Dermatologist office and had a hole to come under her left arm, the doctor cultured the area and the report came back that she has, Proteus Mirabilis (heavy growth) and Result 2 was Mixed Skin Flora (Light growth), they prescribed her Bactrim for this infection. I was wondering if this is the best antibiotic to prescribe for this type of infection?
Is Bactrim a good medication for the treatment of Proteus Mirabilis?
