Is Ativan stronger than Restaril for insomnia?

Hello, Ativan is stronger.-

Lorazepam (initially marketed under the brand names Ativan and Temesta) is a high potency benzodiazepine drug which has all five intrinsic benzodiazepine effects: anxiolytic, amnesic, sedative/hypnotic, anticonvulsant and muscle relaxant. Lorazepam is used for the short-term treatment of anxiety, insomnia, acute seizures including status epilepticus and sedation of hospitalised patients, as well as sedation of aggressive patients.

Temazepam (trade name Restoril, among others) is an intermediate-acting 3-hydroxy benzodiazepine. It is generally prescribed for the short-term treatment of sleeplessness in patients who have difficulty maintaining sleep. In addition, temazepam has anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), anticonvulsant, and skeletal muscle relaxant properties.-

Ask your psyachiatrist about Versed-midozoplam it is also a hypnotic, very strong I take it sometimes and it works quite well, it is even used as anesthesia in operations.-

Also, you have to let some days go by for the medication to fully start working..so be patient, if nothing happens you will have to adjust your dosage with your psyachiatrist.-
