My doctor wants to prescribe it for Parkinson's even though I don't have seizures and only slight tremors. Most of my problem lies in lack of coordination...... Thanks!
Is anyone taking Primidone for Parkinson's?

I couldn't find a review made by anyone using primidone in Parkinson's Disease, however this article does state that primidone is used effectively to treat the Parkinson tremor.
Yes I started to take Primidone 25mg a few days ago.
Being some what skeptical I took 1 pill 50 mg to start with a full glass of water or two (45min - 1hr before bedtime) Otherwise you get a stomach ache.
To my surprise the next morning @ 5am I awoke with no tremors, a mild tremor at 10am for most of the remainder of the day.
I have stage 1 Parkinson's.
I must say at the end of the day (50mg)I was a little short tempered, but not bad.
I have started on prescribed dosage schedule.
week 1 25mg pm ; wk 2 50mg pm ; wk 3 25mg am -- 50mg pm. My guess is that the dosage will continue to increase until the tremor's are manageable or stop.
