Wilycat29I am supposed to start this drug because I have Psoriatic Arthritis and I'm currently taking Methotrexate. The Methotrexate has gotten rid of most of my joint pain, but I have 3 toes that are still swollen and it is not helping with reducing the swelling at all. My doctor wants to start me on the Remicade to get rid of the swelling in my toes.
Is anyone out there taking Remicade and is it helpful & do you have a lot of side effects?

I took remicade for 2yrs for rheumatoid arthritis on highest dose it didnt help. Methotrexate and plaquenal and low dose prednisone have done more for me then the expensive Remicade

I am suppose to start the remicade tomororw morning, I am very nervous, the mtx I take injectable 17.5 and it kills my stomach so have to back donw on it.wish I didn't have that side effect cause it does help i know that. hvae you tried enbrel? it worked great for me for over 8 years.

i heard about enbrel, why it works great for you over 8 years, then now you started remicade, why don't stay with enbrel?

Enbrel works great. Used it for ten yrs. now on medicare drug plan. Enbrel Starts at $750. Monthly. Now going to try something else. Plaquinil Didn't help at all. Going to start I'V remicade soon. Hope I don't loose hair. Just want to put grand baby in crib.
