I have tried about all of the pain medicine without success. I recently got off of morphine and am now on methadone. I have been on percocet all along for break thru pain. Just wonder if anyone has had great success on pain mgmt.
Is Anyone on Methadone & Percocet for fibro?

I have been on methadone and percocet for fibro for 2 years and it has worked wonders for me a lot of people say stay away from methadone but I am here to tell you it has saved my live job marage and all the above if you take this combination like you are suppose to you don't have anything to worry about the people that talk bad about methadone are people that never really needed it to start with, we like to call them pill heads if you really need it for a disorder you will never need to worry about how to get off of it because you will never be able to unless the fibro or disk or something like that just goes away and never comes back ... FAT CHANCE ... it's a very good combination the only thing is I have to take 2 percs to relieve the break trew Paine but yes it's a very good combination and works very well together you should be very happy with it !!!

Thanks so much, yes all the talk about methadone here has worried me. But the combo is working for me also. But as with all the other combo's I have tried, you have to keep bumping up the mg's. Right now I am taking 10mg methadone 8am, noon, 4pm & 9pm. Then I set my alarm for 4am and take Tizanidine 4mg's (muscle spasm pill) then by the time I get out of bed 7-8am I can get out of bed with not much pain. I very rarely need to take the percocet, but if I do take it, I take 2-10mg's at a time. My doctor said not to take more than 6 pills in a 24 hr period. Which equals 60mg's in 24 hrs. Then I see people on this website that are taking hundred's of milligrams per day... which doesn't seem safe to me. How much methadone are you on?
