Adderall is approved by the Food and Drug Administration only for the treatment of ADD / ADHD but since it's key ingredients are: racemic amphetamine sulfate, dextroamphetamine saccharide, and dextroamphetamine sulfate, it is commonly used as a powerful appetite supressant. It is not prescribed for this, but that doesn't stop people from using it as such.
