Iron Dextran - upon administration of IV Iron preparation, should the bottle be protected from?

It does not say so that Iron Dextran should be protected from light, it is available in amber colored vials which perhaps do not require protection from light.
However, please do reconfirm this with a pharmacist, take care.

If you are getting this thru IV their is no way to keep in out of the light, but for the short time it takes to give it should not effect it's quality. Hope this helps answer your question... Mary
