Iodine/Potassium Iodide - We live in Colorado. Do we need to take strong iodine now? If not, when?

No one in the US needs to do this until public officials tell us to. As of now, there is no need. This medication only prevents radiation uptake by the thyroid. Right now there is no risk in the United States. Here is the CDC website where you can read about this medication and the guidelines for taking:
