Invanz is stupor and mental change a side effect?

Paul, I am sorry to hear about your father. I hope he gets better.

As for Invanz causing a stupor. My guess is no. In rare cases it can cause seizures but that doesn't sound like what is going on.

Invanz is a pretty heavy duty drug used for infections. Considering he is Elderly, with what sounds like a severe infection, it wouldn't be unusual to have some issues.

If you could elaborate on the type of infections this would help pin point a problem.

My mother who is 92 just recieved this drug, Invanz by IV. She was on it for 12 days for a ruptured Appendix. Two weeks prior to this she was a very vibrant woman and now she is cofused, dazed, restless and has terrible anxiety. I only hope that she will return to her normal self. It had to be this awful medication! How is your father now? I hope he has recovered as I hope my mother will.
