I have taken Hyoscyamine for years, but now this is not in the Humuna covered drug list. I have tried some other medications but they don't help. Does anyone know of an RX assistance program?
Thank you,

Hi Louiseann,
In past years if the insurance plans did not honor a specific prescription and I could not take anything to replace it, my doctor would write to my insurance company explaining this and they would honor by paying for that prescription. I would certainly try talking to your doctor to encourage him to put in writing why you cannot take any other prescription for your Insterstitial Cystitis. Just because it is not on the list, does not always mean the insurance companies will not pay. Please start with your doctor and if that does not work, get in touch with the pharmaceutical company to see if they will help in some way. Perhaps give it a much lower price.

Dear Louise, You may want to check with your local state insurance or Social security office for help with getting medications not covered by your insurance. My own insurance company upped the tier of a few of my meds this past year for mail away from 70.00 to 95.00 a script. Generics don't work for most meds. I have had IC for over 30+ years & am now out of remission. I wish you well. Margie
