Inderal - Does any one have troble with dry lips and sores on the corners of their mouth?

I take 200mgs in the morning and haven't noticed sores in the side of my lips. I always have a dry mouth it seems and that has definitely made my lips dry. I do not know if that's specifically due to this one medication though. I am on 3 different meds a day and all of them site dry mouth as a possible side effect. What are the sores like? There is a lot of knowledgeable people on here and the more specific you are im sure someone will answer you better. Take care!

I found a lip balm made out of pure Aloe Vera helped my very dry cracked lips. I ordered it from a MLS company called Forever Living Products. I found a distributor by my area since the company has a minimum order when ordering online. I've been using it now for 4 yrs and no more chapped dry lips. Whenever I do get cold sores, I drink pure aloe vera 3-4oz (from same company) for a week and I apply the aloe chapstick over it. For some reason it start shrinking, going away from the very 1st day. I read it on a natural alternative website years ago and it has always helped!

Dear Jeanne... this is not a known side effect of beta blockers of which, I am sure you know, that inderal is a beta blocker.
When I get sores in the corners of my mouth it is usually because my diet is lacking in some vitamins... those that are found in green leafy vegetables containing vitamins A, D, & C. If you are not eating enough of these vegetables, try eating them for a week or so and see if your mouth clears up. Also, if you are using any face products with retin-A, retinol, or vitamin C serum, if you get these too close to the corners of your mouth, they will cause sores and cracks also... I do his quite too often lol. I find that good old Vaseline usually soothes those areas quite well.
