Imitrex - Anybody used Canadian online pharmacies for Rx? My new insurance will only pay for 4 tabs?

Sorry to hear that about your Insurance. I know how bad Migraines can be, my Mother, and Aunt get them alot. And it seems like Imitrex is the only drug that helps.As far as online Pharmacy's go, I never tried them. It all sounds like a scam to me, and wouldn't want to get in trouble, or let them have my card #. I would advise against it, But there is one way to get Imitrex for free. Certain Primary care Offices and other Medical buildings have free packets, I have stumbled onto them and swiped a few on occasion, since its so expensive, morally it might be wrong, but when your in Pain you have to look out for number one, Good luck, I hope I was Helpful.

I am so sorry, and I know what you are going through. have you tried contacting the manufacturer? Many times they will have an offer they can send to you to help you defray the cost. I know I just went through it with Zomig. Then I found a Pharmacy discount card that saves me 65%. So that is helpful. Something needs to be done about this. Migraine meds are urgent care!!! God Bless. Let me know how things go for you. I am going to our local teaching hospital Monday I am so fed up with all of these Drs.

Hey Chiquita43, I don't use any Canadian online pharmacies bc they are not regulated by US requirements. I couldn't use Imitrex bc it knocked me off my beehind. It's not a 'happy pill'; but it can knock you out. When my migraines were first diagnosed by my family doctor, I had to keep going back bc nothing was working for me. I went back again, and saw his PA that he had then; and she gave me two samples of Imitrex. I took one, and I was a goner for most of that day. (I was glad I didn't fall off the couch while I was that sound asleep!) I liked what km 14 had to say, or whomever gave your second response. Sometimes, pharmaceutical companies will help you get your medicine, if you can't afford it. Just contact the Company that makes Imitrex. Good luck, and I hope that, unlike me, you can take this one. Newyorkguy is right. A lot of doctors have samples they can give you, plus there are the makers who sometimes help. Friend Billy "caringsonbj" & ask him for the info. He has all the phone numbers & would be glad to help you out. He's a great guy.
