The right Cough & Cold medication depends on your symptoms.
Generally, patients with heart disease should avoid pseudoephedrine-containing products.
Those taking carvedilol should use Benadryl (DiphenhydrAMINE) with caution.
Those taking Plavix should use NSAIDs (Aleve, Advil) and ginseng (Cold-fx) with caution.

Coricidan HBP is usually the one reccommended for anyone with high blod pressure and heart issues, it has a heart right on the box. If you have any concerns that you have the right box then you could ask your pharmacist and he/she could tell you because there are different ones for different symptoms. Hope you feel better soon marjorie zych
