Im pregnant, have narcolepsey and fybro?

I take Xyrem too and though im not pregnant i did ask about that for the future and they said that they haven't seen it affecting the baby. BUT i personally would rather stop the Xyrem for the 9 months that im pregnant and just be super tired. if of course i didn't have to work or anything like that. I really don't think it would do anything to a baby, but if you are scared and can be tired all day and it doesn't matter then maybe just stop taking it?? i know this doesnt help much. but good luck!! thats very exciting you're having a baby!!!

Hi! I'm on xyrem and pregnant with twins (week 14). I take xyrem for narcolepsy w/ cataplexy and am really worried about possible side effects too, especially since there haven't been any studies in humans. I was surprised to find out how few people have ever taken this medicine while pregnant. My doctor told me they've never had a patient in their network with this issue, and you are actually the first person I've even come across on message boards! How far along are you? Did you decide to stay on xyrem? I would error on the side of caution and quit taking it, but my pre-xyrem state was pretty bad. (I consistently slept for extended periods of time and by the time I woke up, I'd be really sick from not eating and drinking.) I don't think that's best for the babies either... Anyway, I'd love to talk and compare information with you. Good luck with whatever you decide!
