You can take Dilaudid with the Fentanyl patch but Dilaudid is processed by the liver too, so you wont be "missing your liver altogether" Almost all medications are processed by your liver and kidneys at one point. The liver is the organ that filters chemicals from your blood so they can be eliminated by the kidneys. The acetaminopen in your Norco is toxic to the liver if you are taking over 4000mg of acetaminophen a day. If you are not taking more than say 12 or 13 Norco a day and no other sources of acetaminophen then you should be ok. If you want to eliminate the acetaminophen altogether then the Dilaudid would do that but it is still processed by the liver.
