You are so very right Mary! I was going to put in that these are not allergic reaction symptoms, they are side effects of Tryptophan.
Thanks, I'm figuring out that my dosage is too much. 500 mg for each pill.

No other meds I am taking. I began taking 500 mg. of L Tryptophan a week ago. First, every day and then because of panic feelings I was getting at night, after 4 days, I began taking it every other day. Last night, my throat was feeling like it wanted to close up. I'm pretty sure that my mg. are way to high and need to go down alot.
Hi, the symptom which worries me most is what you said about you throat closing up... this is listed as a known allergic reaction to Tryptophan. I would recommend you stop taking this and speak to your doctor or pharmacist about a replacement treatment. Usually people are fine stopping L-Trytophan without weaning, i know i did. Maybe just check this as well though as i wouldn't want you to have withdrawal effects.
Your insight and suggestions have helped me a lot. Thank you! I decided to stop taking it all together because of my throat. My symptoms are getting less, but I am now on day 3 and for 7 hours today I sat around dazed. But around 3pm I began to clear up a bit.
