I have been taking it for about 4 years and my bone density scans have returned to the normal range. If I stop taking Actonel, won't I be prone to fractures again?
I'm concerned because my doctor says that I can stop taking Actonel?

You should follow your doctors advice and stop taking Actonel.
There is mounting concern that long-term use (more than 4 years) of Biophosphonates (eg actonel) might adversely affect bone quality and a break is now recommended.
