... tablets help with the tremours help me as ive been prescribed it, havent told my doctor about my drinking problem, but can i use it to help me get cleaner quicker. as its the tremours that are makeing things worse
Im alcoholic and cutting down my intake slowly, but I have bad tremours, would propranolol 40 mg?

its not the propanolol that im takeing for the tremours, i havent started yet, i was prescribed them, but while im cutting down on my alcohol intake fastly the tremours are obviously getting worse and i was prescribed them for this reason, mostly anxiety just didnt tell my doctor about my drinking problem. Doing really well with cutting down till i stop forever, but scared of any side affects if i start them whilst still drinking.

Hello jackie211. The propranolol is not going to make the alcohol leave your body any quicker. Its not an aid to cleaning out your system. Once the alcohol has left your body, you are then clean. You won't be if you of course were to take another drink of whatever alcohol, you happen to be consuming.(Wine,Gin beer etc etc) Proprandol will eliviate the tremors that you're having. Best wishes and good luck,. and you might want to tell your doctor, she/he can offer you some advice, that might be very helpfull.

my alcohol cosumption is being reduced and quite pleased with the way im copeing as once im clean i will never have another drink as i cant go through the withdrawell systems every again. Dont want to drink, just my body is needing it. When you say elivate the tremors does that mean it will make the tremours worse whilst drinking. Thank you so much for contacting me.
Hi jackie211. I understand now. You are still drinking. Though cutting back. Its not recommened that if you drink alcohol, to take propranolol. It can be very dangerous. At the top of this page is a search engine. Just enter propranolol. I am not judging you but for how long were you drinking,how much,and what kind of alcohol?there is a wonderful 12 step program called A.A. That is very helpful when you are ready to quit completely.I did,22 years ago and thru all the best and worst of those years I never drank again .however I now 22 years later am in trouble with presription drugs... keep posting friend me if u need to talk if you want this you will get there,I hope sooner.best of luck,c.
