If they were effective, wouldn,t we be taking one or two. I am afraid of the long term effect. These drugs have so many side effects.
IhaveCOPD. I take theophylline, singulair, spiriva, and symbicort. It seems like overkill?

My Mom had copd, and took all those meds except theophylline. She seemed to do ok on the other meds, oh except she took serevent and flovent insted of the symbicort, but I hear symbicort is really good. I have asthma and I take serevent, flovent, singulair, prednisone, fludrocortisone, proair as needed, and sometimes breathing treatment. Do you know what stage copd you are at? You know they are starting to take copd alot more seriously now, so they are finding better treatments all the time. You might want to ask your Dr. if there is something else besides theophylline you can take or get off of it. I took it for along time when I was younger and it gave me stomach problems and headaches. Hope I helped.
