I take Fosamax and must remain upright during that wait due to possibility of esophageal irritation, but it's only 1/2 hour and once a week. Waiting an hour daily is a burden. I usually go to the bathroom just before dawn and go back to bed until the alarm rings. I could set the capsule out the night before and take it then if would not cause a problem. On the day I take Fosamax, I wait and take the Sanctura 1 hour before lunch. Thanks. Nan, age 77.
If Sanctura XR needs to be taken 1 hour before breakfast, can you take it and go back to bed?

Yes!
Your doctor has asked you to take Sanctura "1 hour before breakfast" because the drug interacts with food.
Ask your doctor/pharmacist if you can move your Sanctura dose to bedtime. A bedtime dose may be more convenient for you.
Cheers!
