Get a delayed rash over a weeks time
If I am allergic to erthyromycin would I be allergic to cleocin?

I have been taking cleocin for a week for a tongue biopsy and noticed a prickley red rash on face, scalp, and upper back. After taking EES in the past I also had a delayed reaction similar to this drug.

I forgot to say that I was also taking Zyrtec everynight, which could have minimized the reaction. I'm off the clindamycin about a week, sx's are subsiding. Thank you for the education, it was interesting to know exactly how the drugs work.
