then i took another pill 12hours after the 2nd pill thinking that the first dose may not be effective because of the wrong timing. in all i took 3pills within 48hours.
I would like to know what to expect since I took the 2nd pill more than 16hrs after the 1st?

Since you took a 3rd pill after 12 hours of the second pill. Theoretically it should work. How many hours after your unprotected encounter did you take the 2nd pill (as you must take the pills within 72hours of your encounter for it to be effective)?
