I'm close to the end of 5 yrs cancer free & the doctor is recommending to discontinue taking the Femara. If there's an advantage to continuing, I definately want to.

Congradulations... I was on Tamoxfin for the 5 years. This was just before Femara came out. What I worried about, should I still be on it or not. But I have looked at the research and after 5 years taking the medication, continuing really makes no sense. Both our drugs are simuliar and is to do the same thing. I was getting tumors before going on Tamoxfin and it has been about 8 years after my last Tamoxfin and all I can say life is good!!! Remember see your doctor every 3 months and 6 months for right now your mamogram.
