I woke up this morning feeling so nauseated I can hardly funtion.I have been taking Welchol 3 days?

Yes, it does cause nausea , a less serious sidde effect.-

Do contact your doctor and inform him or her.-

For future reference:

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Stop using colesevelam and call your doctor at once if you have severe constipation or stomach pain.

Less serious side effects may include:

constipation;
nausea, upset stomach pain, gas, indigestion;
feeling weak or tired;
muscle weakness; or
runny nose, sore throat.
This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Tell your doctor about any unusual or bothersome side effect.
