I had prolalpse bladder surgery 4 wks ago, and severely constipated every 3-4 days after using a generic(ducolax equiv.), and fleets. Would I need a stool softner along with this product?

Hi Shirley Kay, You can take the Miralax up to seven days straight if needed. I would suggest taking a stool softener with it such as Colace 100mg at bedtime daily for awhile until the Miralax starts working well for you, it is a good fiber laxative and it doesn't have all the grittyness to it like Metamucil or Citrucel and it has hardly any taste to no taste depending what you mix it with, I suggest coffee it always has worked best for me and with the coffee combo there is no taste of the Miralax and you may have the added benefit of the coffee as well I know I do. Good luck, marjorie zych
