The morphine sulfate sr was 15 mg and the oxycodone cr is 10mg. When I take 2, 7.5/500 Vicodins that the doctor suggested when the pain is alot then the runny nose subsides somewhat, but does not go away completely. Is the morphine sulphate sr 15 mg stronger than the oxycodone cr 10 mg? Is this the reason for the cold like symptoms (i.e. non-stop runny nose) ?

In my opinion, oxycontin suks and does not relieve the pain nearly as well as just plain ole oxycodone, which is immediate release and works great for 4 hours. Just me the hipster thinking, but i would imagine that the hydro's are carrying you through your slight wd symptoms, one of which is a runny nose. I would give my pain doc a call and explain symptoms and ask for something else, maybe fentanyl patches. I hate the NEW oxycontin, would rather take anything else.
