You must wait 24 hours since your last pill (unless it was methadone in which case you must wait 72 hours). If you don't wait, you will be thrown into precipitated withdrawals which is much worse than regular withdrawals. There is something called the COW scale which is a test to take to see if you are in sufficient withdrawals to take the Subutex. You must score at least a 24. You can google Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale and find the test.

The longer you can wait the better,my brother just went through switching from oxy and methadone to suboxone (subutex with naloxone) and he was sent into precip withdrawals very badly, if you are not on methadone it should be ok to take the subutex after 24-48hrs,the longer you can wait the better it will be and start small, if you take a 2mg and see the reaction you have ,if you feel worse you will know not to take more and wait another 12-24hrs before trying again.They gave my brother valium to take as well as trazadone ,they helped as well as alot of imodium and anti nausiant.The worst part is almost over and soon you will be feeling better.Good luck with everything and hang in there,this site is very helpful for answering all your questions and the people here are wonderful!
