mccreapa65... beat and high HR. This is very expensive even through my Ins. Can I take the Diltiazem equivalent of CD instead with same effect?
I was put on Diltiazem 24HR ER 180MG which is generic for Cardizem LA for recent irregular heart?

Doctor has been called by Pharmacist to ask if it can be substituted due to the cost, but have not heard back yet. Basically, wanted to know the difference between the two different forms of Diltiazem and why there are different connotations on them. I know that there would be a dosing difference, but wasn't sure if one is more effective than the other. I went with the prescription equivalent of the Cardizem LA because of the ongoing symptoms, but find this to be very expensive monthly drug. Thanks for quick response...
