I was on terbutaline for 9 weeks when I was pregnant. terbutaline does has effects on the baby.?

I was on the drug for an extended period of time as well my son is seven now and he has behavioral and cognitive deficits he has also always had a speech deficit. I am from wisconsin and no one here believes me about this being my sons problem. My more recent family doctor openly admitted that he didnt know anything about the side effects and he still uses in on pregnant women, I tried to get a lawyer but because of the statute of limitations, they say I can sue I dont know what to do either I thought I was alone.

Yes! A friend of mine, and I have just realized that this drug which she knew as 'Brethine' is terbutaline according to this website and WEBMD. We both have grown children (28 & 33 yrs), 1 male & 1 female.. Each of them have been diagnosed with ADHD, vision problems, very low immune systems, etc..The girl has some other issues that involve delay of gastric emptying as well..We were both given this drug to stop premature labor. Until now, we've both been confused about their symptoms and what has caused them. Both children first presented symptoms between the ages of 4 and 6. I could tell you more, but I'm sure you get the idea. Our kids have both suffered their entire lives and their still has not been a hard diagnosis. We've just been talking and started figuring this out, so you have validated our suspicions in a way, but no ma'am, youy are not alone.
