I was just recently placed on tapazole. However I am currently nursing a baby. Would you stop nursing your baby if you had to take 10 miligrams of tapazole per day?

The benefits must have to outweigh the benefits greatly if using Tapazole is used while you breastfeed.
This is the manufacturer's warning:
In a controlled study involving 139 thyrotoxic lactating mothers and their infants, no deleterious effects were observed in thyroid function and physical and intellectual development of breastfed infants whose lactating mothers were treated with doses of methimazole up to 20 mg daily.
Methimazole is excreted into human milk. Methimazole is considered contraindicated during breast-feeding by the manufacturer.

Make sure that the prescribing Dr is aware that you are breastfeeding an infant. Ask him if you should stop nursing while taking this drug. You may be able to pump while you are taking the drug and discard the milk so you can continue nursing once the drug is out of your system. You might check with the childs pediatrician too, as to the safety of nursing while taking this drug.
