1st... i think u mean Aviane: low dose estrogen+ low dose progestin+ low androgen activity.

it's a single-phase contraceptive. the side effects are numerous.
and i am not going to write a thesis on the side-effects. there are alot and for good reason. when u deal w/ harmones u have to get the right amount suited to ur body chemistry... and people aren't cookie cutters, their indiviuals=different.

that said u should get off it, u said ur not that sexually active, a little overwieght... bloatedness is a great side effct... from these things. being 45( im 33 yr old male so i don't know much about menopause) ur overies are old and ur ability to concive a child proportionally goes down as u age.

determining the type of harmone makes all the difference too.
but again the side f/x are numerous and they are just the common ones, not the less common or rare. f/x range from colon polyps, excess cervical mucus,water retention, migrains, nausea, high BP.
thats just a brief overview because it also makes a difference in the amount of the above mentioned harmones. too little of this can cause that, too much that can cause this... get the point?

i personally think u should talk w/ ur PCP and ask about maybe getting off it... and let them decide if its a good idea, just remember to be honest like u were w/ me.
