It is fine to take Yasmin long term. However, if it is regulating your period but when you go off it your period become irregular again, I would suggest that you see your doctor and they investigate why your periods are not regular. I don't know how old your are but just get checked out ... as non-existent periods could be due to an underlying condition, which may affect fertility later on when you do decide to have children. Please talk to your doctor.
